Adi Moola Ganapathi uvaacha: The importance and value to every ritual, sadhana, anustana, practice, yāga, yagna, dhāna, dharma, japa, mantra japa, dhyāna, jnāna, yoga, Vedaopasana, Nadopasana, mantra sadhana, thapas and every other methodology prescribed in the scriptures and by the myriad forms of the Supreme Self is to reveal the origin of existence namely the Supreme Self or Avyakta beeja or seed. The mantras that are given as upadesh to a created being is in accordance and ordained as per his or its manifestation as a self-luminous akshara or alphabet from within Aksharam or Imperishable. Thereby the anustana and sadhana and path followed by the created being is dictated entirely as per the Self or self-luminous akshara or alphabet in both its Avyakta or Unmanifest state and Vyakta or Manifest or “physical body form or shape” as seen in creation.
The subtleties involved in mantra upadesh by the Self or self-luminous akshara or alphabet particular or specific to that created being depends on the manifestation of the inherent light, sound and matter from within Aksharam or Imperishable or Avyakta beeja or seed as self-luminous akshara or alphabet in Avyakta or Unmanifest state that spreads itself from the centre and expands itself, thereby creating more self-luminous aksharas or alphabets with inherent light, sound and matter. The union and intermingling of these self-luminous akshara or alphabets in crescendos and diminuendos spreading itself expanding the Avyakta or Unmanifest is the creation of differentials also in Avyakta or Unmanifest of time, space, movement, ego, intellect, mind, five-fold attributes or panchatanmatras, five-fold elements or panchabhutas, innumerable created beings, Vedas, mantras, swaras, metre, devathas, myriad forms of the Supreme Self and others.
Hence, mantra upadesh particular or specific to a created being depends entirely on the Supreme Self or Aksharam or Imperishable or Avyakta beeja or seed as the Self or self-luminous akshara or alphabet is the Guru who will help the created being to use the Avyakta or Unmanifest and Vyakta or Manifest state or “physical body form or shape” of itself to know, understand, realize, experience and transcend the subtlest of subtle self-luminous aksharas or letters in Avyakta or Unmanifest to become immersed and absorbed into the Supreme Self.
Mantra sadhana like all other practices is to be practised along with act of showing gratitude or Kritagyata and offering thanks to the Supreme Self, practising acceptance or Anumodhana and most importantly Self-Surrender as a created being who is in constant contemplation about the Supreme Self and immersed in the Supreme Self will surely become absorbed into the Supreme Self.
